The Team Behind The
Jacksonville River Rally + Poker Run

Picture
Greg A. Harris - Organizer
Greg Harris is the driving force behind the revival of the Jacksonville River Rally + Poker Run, an event he came to love as a participant when it was run by Bill Pyburn, Sr.  When Bill Pyburn, Sr. decided a few years ago that organizing the event had become too much, Greg Harris stepped up to keep the event alive.  Greg Harris has become the face of the Jacksonville River Rally + Poker Run, contributing a new energy crucial to its growth.  As the son and brother of firefighters, the Camp Amigo cause is close to Greg Harris' heart and one that will motivate him to spearhead the event for many years to come.

Greg Harris is a performance boater since 2002 and raced an outboard-powered 30-foot AMT catamaran with throttleman Allan Christie from 2003 to 2005 in SBI’s Super Stock class.  His fleet of performance boats has included a Fountain (Ca$h Bar), Cigarette, Active Thunder (Fast At Last) (below); Concept; from 2016 to 2020, a well-known 32-foot Skater catamaran called Mad Props (below) that he ran with his long-time girlfriend and co-organizer, Yvonne Alemán (see below for bio); from 2020 to 2021, a 34-foot MTI catamaran called Mad Props (below) that he ran with Yvonne Alemán; and, most recently, a brand new DCB M37R true-tunnel catamaran called Mad Props (below) that was delivered in 2022 that he runs as a team with Yvonne Alemán.  Greg Harris is a South Florida REALTOR® and forum moderator for OffshoreOnly.com under the screen name "Cash Bar."

Yvonne A. Alemán - Organizer
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, of Cuban immigrant parents, Yvonne Alemán is a self-employed Certified Public Accountant and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional with over 20 years of professional experience.  She is the founder and owner of Costa Bel Cane Corso, sits on the Board of Directors of the Cane Corso Association of America and assists Greg Harris in the management of his successful real estate business.

Yvonne Alemán serves as the "back office" of the Jacksonville River Rally + Poker Run, handling responsibilities such as accounting, web design, social media, communications, marketing, media relations, negotiations, etc.  Yvonne Alemán has been a boater since infancy and is a SCUBA Divemaster.  She and Greg Harris ran their 32-foot Skater catamaran called Mad Props (below) as a team for 4 years, their 34-foot MTI catamaran called Mad Props (below) as a team for a year and now their brand new DCB M37R true-tunnel catamaran called Mad Props (above) with Yvonne Alemán on the wheel and Greg Harris on the throttles.  She has also run the Wozencraft Insurance Skater (below) with Tristan Collins Garvin in the LOTO Shootout as part of the first and only (to date) female duo to run in the annual shootout.  Yvonne Alemán is also a contributing photographer for SpeedOnTheWater.com.
